Rolando Garcia, the CEO and owner of R Logistics, immigrated from Cuba in 1995 with his wife, Iliana. Roly began his career in trucking in 1997, when he purchased his first truck, a 1989 Freightliner Cabover, doing runs to and from northern California, Phoenix, Texas, Oregon and Washington. In 2000, Rolando and Iliana decided to team up and expand their business.
In 2004, Roly saw and capitalized on an opportunity to develop a lane from California to the Dallas/Fort Worth market and opened an office in Forth Worth, TX. Later in 2013, Roly expanded with the addition of a 50,000 square foot warehouse on a 10-acre lot in Fort Worth. Roly’s Trucking then grew rapidly with its primary lane being from the major California markets to the Dallas/Fort Worth area and additional local and regional services in Texas and California.
Roly is an avid golfer and baseball fan, with two beautiful children.
As the Chief Financial Officer of Roly’s Trucking and the R Logistics portfolio of companies, Iliana Garcia is responsible for all aspects accounting, credit and finance. Iliana received her degree in accounting from the University of Havana in 1990. From 1990 until 1995, Iliana worked for the Mining and Geology Union of Cuba in their corporate finance and accounting department. After immigrating to the United States with Roly in 1995, Iliana worked for a CPA firm in the Los Angeles area as an accountant, serving companies in a wide variety of industries. In 2000, Iliana teamed up with Rolando to assume responsibility for the accounting of the expanding family of businesses now known as R Logistics. With Iliana’s knowledge of accounting and finance, the two were able to begin adding trucks, trailers and drivers at a rapid rate through internal growth and the acquisition of other trucking operations.
Like Rolando, Iliana is also an avid baseball fan and enjoys spending time with her beautiful children, Vanessa and Roly.
